In memory of John Burwell Excellence in EMS Award recognizes those individuals who made a significant impact on Emergency Medical Services within the counties of Davie, Forsyth, Stokes, Surry, and Yadkin (Region I). Mr. Burwell dedicated his life to improve pre-hospital care, the quality of life for our citizens and the overall regional EMS system.
The 2016 recipient is Joseph Ashburn, Training Coordinator Davie County EMS
